Why is it important to stay safe online?

Internet has become an integral element for everyone in their day to day life. Most of us are ‘connected’ to it via laptops, mobile phones, tablets or personal computer. However, when we use internet without safety awareness, we could be at risk of falling prey to cyber frauds, cyber offences, scams, identity theft, malware attacks etc.

Role of Awareness program:

As it is important to learn the right way of conduct, for safety when you leave the house, in the same way it is important to learn how to stay safe online when you are in the cyber world. The efforts of Information Security awareness program are to inculcate and reinforce good security practices among digital users. The purpose of awareness program is to focus attention of the individual, on the online security as it is the primary responsibility of every digital user, whether you are in online world or physical world. These awareness programs are intended to allow individuals to recognize Information security concerns and help them respond to them in the right way.  These are skills that will help them to have a safe and secured online experience.
